Technology Platform Proteomics
The Institute of Microbiology hosts a nationwide unique technology platform for microbial proteomics headed by Dörte Becher, Michael Hecker & Katharina Riedel, which offers a broad range of state-of-the-art gel-based and gel-free (meta)proteomics workflows. The platform harbours numerous high-end mass spectrometers together with servers/data analyses pipelines, from which the processed data can be delivered to more sophisticated, often in-house-established bioinformatics analyses and visualization tools. These resources allow a dedicated and individually optimised selection of the best instrument configuration/workflow for each particular research task.
